18W is 80% more than 10W. That's why I said 'relative'.![]()
I'm sorry, could you please rephrase your first sentence into something that makes sense? 'without proper engeneering'?
And, we do not yet know how much heat the i5/i7 produces compared to the C2D because it isn't out yet. That's why I've already said, all I'm doing is speculating the reason why.
Oh, and yes, of course, a 3 year old boy would know perfect English and have already completed higher exams. (GCSEs)I'm sorry, it's a bit ironic that you're calling me 3 years old and yet I apparently know more about computers than you, and have better spelling and grammar.
Let's not have an argument over age, alright? Let's just keep it a friendly debate.

"as said, the core i5/i7 + chipset would produce the same heat as the C2D, the 3 years old boy..."
perhaps it's better this way... -
Anyway, don't get the iPad. Get the M11x and post some benchmarks, OK? -
I see now. Well, let's just wait and seem.
So I'll really be waiting on reviews for both of them. I'm still not entirely sure about either choice. -
I can tell that this argument will only end once the reviewers speak. Cue more laughing from Dell HQ. Those engy's must be wondering why they need 30 Rock when they have us...
EDIT: English is actually my fourth language... -
-
I'd say he means engineers.
-
Yeah, I'd bet they'd find this pretty funny. They could clear up a lot of arguing if they came here and explained their CPU choice
.

It's so evil! -
Well.. Schadenfreude. Maybe this is what keeps em engies doing what they do for us. Hahahahaha

Don't know if price was confirmed, but saw this on alienware site..."The Alienware M11x, with over 6.5 hours of battery life and weighing under 4.5 lbs. will start at an amazing $799! Leave it to the folks at Alienware to enable truly mobile performance gaming at an affordable price."
-
-
Blargh. I want a review allready.
It is still somewhat suspicious for me, because Alienware here is exquistely expensive. -
-
BTW, not sure if you all have seen this.
A Brief History of the Alienware M11x
Gives a little history of the M11x and Alienware's development of it and another video inside Alienware's test lab of the laptop and size comparison. -

i'm going to spend some vacation in cancun in the end of february, gonna stay there for 8 days, is it possible that I buy the M11X there? do dell has any physical store?
-
There is still the chance that by the time you go on vacations Dell would have delivered your M11x if you order it the day it comes out.
-
This laptop is exactly the one I want, small like a netbook but powerful like a laptop. I hope the laptop runs rather cool though.
-
this is a brand new question: any possibility of a docking station?? they are useless for the 15 and 17'' models, but this 11.6'' certainly would benefit... I'm not planning playing hours straight in a 11.6'' screen
-
also it would be 1.5x more expensive than in the USA
.
(Thats why I buy laptops from the USA) -
steveninspokane John 14:6 - Only ONE Way!
I posted this link in the other thread, but for those of you who try to stick to just one thread (anyone?) I'll post it again.

And another one bites the dust. I think I should stop worrying about the thing running out of stock.
-
I don't think that site has "official" specs... It was created january 6 and update 6 days later... so it's old... I think they know just as much as we do...
-
Well a retailer gave us official specs over at the owner's thread a few days ago. Not any different really.
-
lol, this thread needs to die or be closed. I'm tired of coming over here to see reposts =) one thread please!
-
Call a mod to close it?
-
Agreed. Motion to close.
-
NO WAY we're almost to 100 pages.
but yeah close it -
okay I've just got one question, will a 1.3ghz processor be enough modern games like MW2 or STO on full graphics? 1.3 seems quite low to me, or is most gaming based on the video card these days?
PS two questions I guess -
-
This should be closed, since the Owner's thread is receiving like 10 pages a day...
-
wow, it took forever to get through these posts. Great machine. I just feel, it isn't going to be enough. I like my laptops like i like my cell phones, bulky and eye catching.
-
Hi im thinking of buy a m11x but dunno if they send it to greece and also if i connect for examble to an 21 inch monitor the display will be good or not?
-
does anyone get the i7 version? I"m curious as the performance of it on MW2, L4d2, and BC2. This laptop is pretty crazy in term of its performance.
