Grabbed the Square Enix Eidos pack. Some really good games that are perfect for the m11x. Spent all weekend playing Batman. :)

I picked up Necrovision: Lost Company. (I have the retail original Necrovision.) AWESOME World War I era shooter! I highly recommend it.

Bought Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising for just E4,20-

Hope it works on my M11x (which is barely working itself at the moment  ).

Same here, I am actually kinda mad, The Witcher is the only game from that company at 33% off, everything else is 66%. Sometimes Steam makes me mad, I was willing to spend the $6 to get it on my M11X and not mess with my disks, but for $13 ill just find a way to load it on my M11X using disc images. For $2 more than just the witcher I got the Introversion complete pack and the Civ complete pack, 8 games for the new price of The Witcher.

I'm not sure what's causing the problem with Witcher EE on my R2, but it's gotten to the point where I've completely given up on it after about 10 hours of play time. The game locks up, but the rest of the OS is fine. I wouldn't mind that so much if it weren't for the fact that I can not kill the process by any means. As a result I have to power off the laptop and that's not good to do on a regular basis. I've tried every "fix" or workaround I've come across and nothing has helped.

As for my opinion regarding the game's dialogue, it's frequently very obvious that it was originally written in another language. I can't count the number of times I've had to replay a line or whole conversation in my head and then ask " was that supposed to mean?

That's not to say that I don't think Witcher has a lot to offer. If it weren't for the stability issues I'm pretty sure I'd really enjoy the direction it appears to be taking.

Not to take attention away from Steam (which I love), but Direct2Drive has a one day sale for Mass Effect 2, $19.99 on now.

Killing Floor is an awesome game! granted I cracked it to do a little demo hehe. Once I tried it I got it right away on steam. Also, it runs great on the m11x.

I've picked up Left 4 Dead 2, Trine and Audiosurf. I plan on waiting until the last day to buy any more games in case they show up as one day special deals.

Has anyone managed played The Witcher EE on the M11x for a significant period of time without it crashing? Must have something to do with the gfx card.

Not me. I've tried every potential fix/setting I've come across and nothing has helped. And when it does crash the witcher.exe process, 9 times out of 10, can't be killed.

Let me know if you ever figure anything out. At this point I've moved on and consider the $7 a [small] loss.

    The Steam sales continue today...

I will be getting GTA4 for $4.99 on today's daily deal. Maybe SF4 for $10.

I also keep a second account for Steam in the house so I can play some multiplayer games locally against my son on a different PC in the house. The M11xR2 will be very handy for that when it arrives. These sales are great for 2nd copies. So far on daily deals, I got a second CS:S, L4D & L4D2 for cheap. Today I'll get a second Team Fortress 2 for $6.79.

I'm not rich, but this is relatively cheap for the extra "quality time" I will get with my son. Plus it is a blast! :D

Why do you need extra copies? I thought you can install a game as many times as you want!?!?

You can, but he is going to buy it so he can play at the same time with his son on a different pc.

Actually correct if I am wrong, I remember reading on the crysis forums that even on steam you still have a limited amount of times you can install. Is that true?

That is true, but *most* games are are really good about this. Valve has no limits on their games, but some third party publishers do. Some have limits, but the limits are reasonable. Like Batman:AA I think is 5 installs allowed per month. I hate limits, but I can work around ones like that.

Just scroll down to the bottom of the Steam Store page for the game you are interested in and read the fine print and the system requirements. It is in there. Steam lets you know the limitations for a specific game upfront. They also have some "install revoke tools" in their forums for games that count the number of installs. Far Cry 2 comes to mind. As long as you revoke the install, you get it back.

GTA IV for $5.. good price. Not sure if I want it having beaten EFLC recently all on the M11x and getting frustrated at random points when the FPS dropped to ridiculous levels. But yeah great for those that want to pay for a good $5 benchmark!! lol

Crysis vanilla has a limit. I believe Warhead has a revoke tool. Other games include a limit too, very few but there are some. I think the Borderlands DLC has it, Bioshock1.. it says on the store page though

stain - that is a great idea you have on the 2nd copies. Considering how cheap these deals are, it's perfect for a couple of PC's around the house to play some co-op etc. I already had a lot of the games I wanted that are on sale, but didn't think about getting extra copies on a new account. At these prices it's not really a waste of money.

New daily deals, some good stuff. I would recommend The Guild 2 Pirates expansion (you don't need the original, the expansion comes with both games). It is $3.75 today and a very unique and fun game. If you like this type of game you can get thousands of hours of play out of The Guild 2.

A few days ago I picked up the Jagged Alliance spinoff... It got low reviews at the start but they released patches to make it easier/better. For a few bucks I figured why not.

It's called HIRED GUNS, THE JAGGED EDGE.

Its kinda like a jungle (far cry) game but top down. Steam still has it for $6 bucks and change. I also picked up the original Company Of Heroes.. had to have it.

    Best wishes,

    StevenX

Anyone running into the declined card problem? I am getting constantly declined on 3 separate cards, kind of rediculous that I can't even give Steam the money I want to hahahaha. I'm kinda ticked I missed out on L4D at 6 bucks, as well as the Guild 2 package. I will be really pissed if I can't get Bioshock and Dragonage, and maybe Titan Quest (what do you think of this game anyone?)

I just bought them from steam portal and I had no declined card problem what so ever.

Hope you have payed all ur due's on time :D kidding..... :D . You can check with the provider why the transactions are declined or are you putting correct billing address?

Bioshock is a good deal + dragon age I was planning to get from some time so just bought it. But yes I would also like to know how TQ is. Has anyone played it and recommend it?

I checked everything, there is a post on Steam Forums about a lot of people having this problem, Steam is insisting it is on cardholders side but this is a widespread problem. I am getting really irritated.

Bioshock is a total fail on my m11x, it won't even start up. Downloading it again right now.

Also, the misadventures of B.P. Winterbottom is really awesome. For this price everyone should buy it!

BTW: easy way to pay on steam = make a Click and Buy account. Most people have one, because it's the easiest way to pay in the App Store/iTunes too.

I just brought Tropico 3. Whilst I have no hope of playing it on my 512MB ram pc, it is one for the future once I (hopefully) get an M11X. I also brought Osmos (I get about 0.5 frames/second here) for £1.74 and the Introversion pack (which runs great) for £5.00.

Just one question... Once I get the M11X, I can install the games I have already installed on my old PC right?

The overall sale ends July 4th, but each day the stuff on the front page changes. If you want something on the front page (like Beat Hazard today) you need to buy it today, because tomorrow it will go back to the normal sale price.

Another update today, kinda ho-hum, no really great deals that jump out at me. Portal is $2, but I think all M11X owners get it for free. Mount & Blade is fun, but you are better off getting Warband, since it comes with the original also and is not that much more expensive.
