    Hey guys!

Could someone please let me know how Oblivion runs? Especially on high settings, maybe even with a few mods. I haven't seen any type of benchmark so I'm really curious as that is one of my favorite games!

It pretty much looks awesome at all resolutions!
Online lags a bit when you are on a full server but it is more than playable!

    BFBC2 on M11x

short gameplay vid of me failing big time lol I'll probably try to make another one with more action. allow to the vid to process if you want to see more detail, just finished uploading.

    1280x720
    Directx9
    Medium gfx
    High tex
    low effects/shadows
    no AA, no HSAO

I have another video uploading now with near full server 31/32 I believe. I changed graphics to high settings and it still played amazing. I may try OC'ing GPU for this game to see if it runs any better.

rush gameplay (combat) in 31/32 server

I doubt that it is a CPU heavy game....
I would bank on it running pretty well. Not sure if you could MAX out everything obviously. Personally, this kind of game I'd play on PS3 instead but that's just me :p

I have tried the following without any problems(OC'd CPU, Stock GPU, no AA)

Mass Effect 2 - Runs amazing on almost max settings.

Company of Heroes - Ultra Settings hasn't dropped below 60fps

Battlefield Bad Company 2: Runs decent on medium/high settings for single player ( 20fps - 45fps ). Online I scale resolution back keeping high detail and I get about 20-35fps depending on the game size.

Supreme Commander 2: Max setting, no slowdown even when in battle.

Half-Life 2 / CSS / Lost Coast / Day of Defeat/ Portal: Avg about 75-90fps on max settings.

Dawn of War 2: Runs anywhere between 25 and 75fps on Ultra(depending on how crazy it is on the screen)

be77solo Thankyou for the fsx info for the m11x. This has helped me to make a decision about buying the laptop.

I don't ask for fsx to run on high settings with traffic and dense auto scenery but I do want to use my PDMG 747 plane with at least medium settings.

Just tried the Just Cause 2 demo and couldn't get it to play with a smooth framerate. I think that the problem is that the demo will not let me turn off the 4x AA. When I go into video settings and turn it off and leave the settings screen, it automatically is back on when I go to the settings screen again. Is anyone else experiencing the same problem? I suspect that this is the reason for the poor performance.

MAME performs a LOT better when the oddly CPU hungry AlienFX and face recognition processes are disabled (especially AlienFX). Something must be wrong with the AlienFX process.

I could not figure out why an Asus UL50 at 1.3ghz performed better than the M11x at 1.6ghz, until looking at what was sucking cycles from the CPU on the M11x. Since disabling those processes, the M11x performs great with MAME and every emulator I have tried. Even quite a few games on PCSX2.

I also disabled indexing, since drains the battery quicker by running the HD all the time.

This runs *perfect* for me, put shadows on low, everything else on high, easily as nicer as the 360 version, though I think it has sharper texturing on pc.

I believe I was also able to turn of AA though, you are confirming the settings, right?

@Area Man- How do you get the m11x to run Dawn of War on Ultra? I have a M17 with crossfire and I can't run it on Ultra (I only get about 10-15fps) at 1900x1200.

All, We just received the m11x I purchased for my wife. She ran the S.T.A.L.K.E.R Call Of Pripyat Benchmark last night. On Medium Settings, Directx10 full lighting, (Rounding Here) 40 fps day, 45 night, 39 rain, 29 sun rays.
High settings, directx10 full lighting (rounding again) 34 fps day, 39 night, 32 rain, 17 sun)

CPU is bios overclocked. GPU stock, drivers stock. This is outstanding for a supposed "netbook". Seriously. I am VERY IMPRESSED so far. I think this thing is more powerful than my m17...

All of the shooters (shootemups), Need for Speed, Bloody Roar 4, and Time Splitters work very well.

Not sure about the games you mention, since I mainly prefer arcade type games.

NSxrr - even on mediums I dunno what it is but along with the excessive bloom on the 360, the PC version is terrific looking. You probably get better FPS overall on the 360 but with keyboard/mouse support - ownage. Playing the demo on 360 and the first BC on PS3, it's ridiculous how slow your head moves compared to twitch movement of the mouse on PC. Rocks!!!

    Hi all,

I have a reasonably large Steam collection and I'll add games as I find time.

All games running are running at the M11x native resolution (1366x768) unless noted. The processor is overclocked (BIOS overclock nothing more), and the Nvidia GT 335M GPU is running at the stock clock speed.

I have no interest in synthetic benchmarks, for me a game has to be playable not looking good at 2FPS. All frame rates below are in game. All scores are grabbed using Fraps. All game settings are in italics. If there is an average this is the MODE not the MEDIAN value (based on my own experience playing the game).

    System info: Core 2 Duo SU7300 1.3GHz, 4GB Dual Channel 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM (2 X 2GB), 500GB 7200RPM Hard Drive, Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.

    Braid - stable 60 FPS

Bullet Candy - stable 60 FPS
    Shrapnel ON

    Crysis Warhead
    DX10 20-40 FPS, Average 25+
    DX9 20-40 FPS Average 30+
All settings on MAINSTREAM. Antialiasing DISABLED.

GridRunner Revolution - stable 60 FPS
    Shader Model 3.0

    Portal - 100+ FPS
Model detail, Texture detail, Shader detail, Shadow Detail HIGH. Water detail REFLECT ALL. Color Correction ENABLED. Antialiasing mode 4X MSAA. Filtering mode ANISTROPIC 16X. Wait for vertical sync, Motion Blur DISABLED. High Dynamic Range FULL.

SlamIt Pinball: Big Score - crashes with BigScore.exe has stopped working

Sonic & SEGA ALL-Stars Racing - 45-60 FPS (runs perfectly IMO)
Texture Resolution and Shadows set to MEDIUM. Soft Particles and Motion Blur ENABLED. Vertical Sync DISABLED.

Space Giraffe - stable 60 FPS
    Shader Model 3.0

Street Fighter IV - 57-60FPS (average 60, feels perfectly smooth)
Antialiasing NONE (if enabeld frame rate drops to 50 and under, unplayable online IMO). Display Refresh Rate 60, Display V-synch OFF, Frame Rate VARIABLE. All other settings HIGH

Toki Tori - stable 60 FPS

Torchlight - 30-80+ FPS (average 60+, a little slow down in MASSIVE battles - perfectly playable IMO)
Shadows MEDIUM. Particle Detail HIGH. Render Behind Walls, Rimlights, HW SKinning ENABLED. Antialising, VSync, Netbook Mode DISABLED

    More to come...

downloaded the orange box and peggle nights through steam. Portal, team fortress 2 and half life 2 episode one will start but the peggle deluxe/nights and half life 2 both act as if they are going to load but then with half life i end up having to start task manager to exit out and with peggle i can hear the startup music, then it acts as if its going to load but then spits me back out into the desktop screen. If anyone has any help/suggestions id appreciate it. im thinking to just uninstall and reinstall the programs but that will take a hell of alot of time since im on vacation and the internet in my hotel sucks real bad

very very well, and to the game's credit, medium and lows still look terrific. and then the sound is even better. Loving it, been playing it a lot and no problems. very happy about that. I can assume further patches will make it even better performance wise.

I prefer bc2 over mw2. Being in a squad and working towards objectives is more fun imo. A squad mate and I defended a conquest point for 10 minutes and it was the most epic 10 minutes I've had in a while.

Anyone play World in Conflict? I spent all day installing games and filling the HDD with just games. On high settings I ran the benchmark and it was an average of 15 FPS, High of 30, and a low of 5. Pretty demanding game. I might do more runs when I get time. Just wonder if anyones played it and have an opinion on the game itself

    Hi,

Regarding L4D2, can someone post a video or benchmark trough fraps or tell the experience with the following settings:

    -OC'd CPU
-Video Settings > Advanced > Effects set to LOW

I used a throttling program to throttle my cpu to near m11x's levels and setting the Effects to low did improve a lot the playability. I'd like to see if this translates equally to the m11x.

I'd love to see the same applied to SC2 (all the cpu demanding settings set to low and try a map with a ton of units if possible)

    Thanks in advance. :)

I'm also looking at picking up a FPS to run on my m11x. I've seen mixed results on running bc2 on it. Are you playing it on the m11x? Also do people tend to use microphones or is everyone mostly silent?

Has anyone tried playing Mass Effect 1 from Steam? It keeps telling me that it is preparing to launch and then nothing happens. The same game was working fine on my Macbook Pro 13" using Bootcamp. Is it possible that there is a DRM issue because I am playing it on the new M11x or that the game doesn't work with the latest graphics card? It's weird because I just played MW2 from Steam and it works great.

Nevermind- I got it working. ME1 plays great on
my M11x! Practically no stuttering on 1280 x 720 widescreen with shadows and AA off. I am amazed how great my games play on my stock CPU compared to my MBP 13" with a 2.53 Ghz dual core!

I had the same problem with Mass Effect 1. Game refused to loadup and I had zero errors. I had to disable the UAC, then run the game (which would now load) and then exit, then reenable UAC. Problem never resurfaced.

    @DR650SE Thanks.

At low settings it gives so less FPS, it means it is very intensive game. May be I will get the PS3 version.

Yea I posted that in the Benchmark thread where we only post benchmards off specific in game benchmark tools. The problem with the game is that it's very processor intensive. Due to the M11X low voltage, cpu, @ 1.73GHz, theres just not enough power. Not even sure it runs very well on the M17X R1/R2. PS3 is your best bet if your into that game
