M11x Order Status Discussion Thread - Part 2

YAY my M11x order is confirmed! my EDD is 5/3/2010... hope it will get here sooner though.

 

Ordered mine on 3-26 and have an EDD of 4-13, Only special part I picked would be my nameplate, But after seeing how dumb some techs can be I can totally see one taking 10 days to C&C a nameplate.

Can't wait!

 

Ordered 3/19, shipped 3/26,.....on the truck for delivery RIGHT NOW!!!

If mine doesnt ship by friday i am cancelling.

Not cancelling due to edd cancelling b/c the longer i wait, the more i want something bigger like the m15

Hello all, new member here. Ordered 3/22, EDD 4/12. Does this seem right? It appears other members have their units shipped within days. I'm assuming this may also be location-contingent, as I am up in Vancouver, Canada.

 

Mine randomly changed from edd 4/12 to 4/2

Could not be happier!

Very solid build...this is my first alienware system.

No creaky hinges, dim lights, BSOD, etc.

OCed to 1.73 on first boot before even getting to windows and have not had a single issue.

I do notice the fan not turning off after switching to integrated from G335 but its not a big deal at all since the fan is VERY quiet. I cannot believe people complain about the fan noise..

Also, I installed 10 games already...tested:

Modern warfare 2, Mass effect 2, RCT3, Bad company 2, Bioshock 2, supreme commander 2, just cause 2, torchlight, and 2 others.

No lag at all. This system really holds its own and they graphics performance is INCREDIBLE for 11" form factor...absolutely in love with this!!!

But your right: Others are quicker - maybe because of that Dell sends only "complete plains" from Asia to Europe/America.... so they collect an contingent - and if that is used - the next plain is 14 days later.... only an Idea how Dell does the delivery (and off the airport by DHL/UPS/FedEX, etc) ...

Fair enough, but the status has been stuck at "In Production" since the first day. The anxiety is killing me!

 

If you call you will get more detailed info, like boxing and whatnot.

It says shipped!!!

I cant wait... now I just have to make up a reason to tell the wife why I got new computer.....hmmmmm

Edit: I was in the "boxing" stage for about 1 day total.

 

Just ordered my M11x today(3/31/2010). Estimated delivery is 4/20/2010, can't wait to have it, hopefully it comes a little sooner.

This is my first Alienware, I'll be sure to give my thoughts on it when I get it and help out on the benchmarking for some some not-so-popular games people maybe be curious about.

What is this real order status number that you speak of? Do you mean just calling and asking a rep the status or is there a real "special" number I should know about?

A Dell rep called yesterday and said that it will be shipped soon. I already knew it was in the boxing stage due to me calling every two hours. >_> Methinks it will ship tomorrow considering it is supposed to be here monday. Now all I need to do is order a mouse.

Just got pushed back till 4/13 -

 

Ordered 3/19, delivered Yesterday 3/31.

I had a busy day yesterday, so I didn't have a chance to get any games installed. Except for what came installed with Steam. All I can say is that I just played Portal,...ON THE BUS!!

I love this thing already.

Yes, they are both perfect. Couldn't be happier,...so far.

 

Motherboard is in "Parts Shipped" status!! *sigh* Hope to enjoy the weekend in crossfire mode.

 

My edd is April/6/2010, but I just checked UPS and it's now in Frankfurt (Germany) and I live in the Netherlands, so maybe it will be here before the edd .

 

LoL mine says its "processing" on the phone yet on the dell website it shows as "in Production"

Eh, Guess the phone can't work in everyones favor right?!?!

 

Status-update: Shipping......
Can't see it on UPS for now... But hopefully it will be delivered next week ;-)

Yea mine says processing on phone and in production on site.

Hope I get mine before EDD. Ordered on 3/29...EDD is 4/13

 

Maybe its on its way - but not scanned ..... so its in your Area but the website can't show it to you - cause the "final scan" has not been done. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you ;-)

Hi Guys Ordered my M11x 21/3/2010, from Dell UK website. Delivery Date 7/4/2010. not bad time wise, have ordered from Dell before and waited 5 weeks. really wanting to have a play now having heard so much on the forum! have ordered the base model £749.00 including Vat/delivery.

 

Mines been "on a truck for delivery", hours seem like days

 

Update:

Now on my fourth day in Boxing stage. The phone line no longer gives any indication of EDD, but the website still shows April 5th. It had better ship soon if it's going to make it here on Monday...

I just got the email saying the M11x is shipped. Kudos to Dell for shipping it earlier than EDD, but a real boon on my end since I'm not going to be back in town until the 7th. I hope I can contact whoever is shipping and have them hold it at their store so I can pick up after leaving the airport.

I had 7 day shipping, mine shipped this morning at 2 am got got here at 4:30. 7 days?

Along with my M11x, I ordered a targus external dvd drive, got the email it shipped yesterday and arrived this morning, didn't realize what it was till I checked the mail later in the day.

I know it's a little off topic but I ordered it at the same time and I'm surprised it got here 2 days from initial order.

I got some discounts applied to my M11x and free next day shipping, so hopefully it is made ahead of schedule and I get it sooner than expected, cannot wait!

 

FedEx contacted me and it will be here by 3 PM this Monday.

 

I pulled the trigger on the m11x as well and mine should be here by monday.

Thought I'd post here since I am gettin a m11x.

It is a replacement for my gpufailed 1330 And I'm getting a m11 with the 4100, 500GB HDD and 4GB RAM. I got the confirmation that the specs has been sent to the manufacturing departement last week so I will probably get an ordervonfirmation and some update during the week to come.

Wow I must say. Dell has been pretty awesome for me thus far. Hopefully I get to OC w/o BSOD but ordered on 3/29...EDD was 4/13

For the last week...On the site it said "In Production" but on the 800 phone number it said "In process"

Both has been updated today saying it has "SHIPPED". I should be getting it 4/6! =)

 

Grrr I ordered on the 3/30 and I still have an EDD of 4/15, I am leaving for a trip on the 12th I really hope it gets here soon
