Mine's coming tomorrow and I'm definitely keeping it.

I don't really need a bigger & better laptop (M14x in this case I guess) for the heavy stuff because I have a decent rig at home.

M11x R3 is small, sweet and has the specs to run my commonly played games at max settings.

Even more reason to keep it now with no new revisions coming out the R3 will not lose price now for at least a year because they will be wanted once they discontinue selling them so keep it in mint condition and expect a high resale value.

It is still a super model even with the talks of moving elsewhere its damn good looking and performs just as good as it looks.

@Tom a good thing with these screens is to find a good wallpaper in between the light and dark to calm the reflection.

One of my favorites is here with white or blue switching FX it looks awesome and even more so with the Alienware FX curser :)

I have saved it and it will be used, thank you. What do you mean by switching FX? And what is the Alienware FX cursor?

Ahhhh I stumbled upon this amazing post here. It allows you to truly turn your alienware into an Alien :) It has a ton of wallpapers and all the factory installation things such as screensaver etc but lots of additional features like skins and windows themes as well as Curser FX software with the alienware invader mouse cursor. I have attached a screenshot below :D

In regards to switching FX I was referring to your command centre where you set up the colour scheme I like to have mine blending in and out of different types of blues to go with my background.

That's cool, cheers. I did'nt realise you could have the colours blending or different sections different colour, I just thought it was all one colour. Can you have the keyboard multicoloured for example? Oooh I'm really looking forward to a good play when I get it, I doubt I'll play any games for a good few hours!!!

Yep I have mine blending at length through the different blue types and on a loop, just select advanced settings at the top of the command center and then customise to your hearts content. Each different section allows you to set it as you like.

The mouse cursor is really cool as well well worth a look and that Cursor FX comes with a ton of funky other cursors as well.

Make sure you check out of the Alien screensaver as well its damn awesome.

That sucks, you'd think they'd be pretty quick at replying to that sort of thing. Customer support and all, although I have heard some horror stories.

It has been shipped! Finally! Should get it next week I hope.

Hhhmmm, so much for it being shipped. Just checked UPS:

"A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated."

So UPS haven't even received it yet so it hasn't been shipped at all! Oh well... I'm so impatient. Doubt i'll have it by next weekend then. Shame.

Leave a hand written note on the door saying please leave package xxxxxxxx in some specified location (front door step etc...) and sign your name. That always works for me.

Hey, just wanted to add my order info here too.
Order from Canada the M11x R3.

Ordered on the 19th, built by the 25th, and delivered by the 30th. I had it delivered to my office... attracted a bit too much attention, and now i'm quite off focus for work...

    I'm quite liking it!
Got it in red, i7 2637m, 6 gigs of ram (replaced to 8 gigs), 128 gb ssd drive (dell), 2 gig vid card etc etc. I'm really liking the red nebula soft touch look! Price was around 1200 cdn.

I had an R1 before when I attempted to pinmod (only got to 1.7 ghz :( ) and noticed the LED on the keyboard of the R3 seems to be a lot brighter than the one on the R1. That or just the whole combination of red on red makes it really... red :)
