    Hey guys,

I checked all the info on the dell site (including all the manuals) and couldn't find which version trackpad I have on the m11x (which manufacturer and model).

Working on a driver project for the laptop and needed this info.

    Thanks,

    Magic

    Thanks for the info :)

I did a quick google search and this was the only thread that came up with this information.

I guess specifically what Im looking for is if it's a synaptics 6.x, 7.x.... and based on that the use of multi touch features (three finger movements.. etc)

There is a backwards RL on the board...

here are a few other numbers from it

    LR104622
    R9477349
    K721583

Then there are a a few more numbers under some strange looking logo
    s 109
    DP CVDC

a small square barcode with the number
    0111LD4

Final number is next to one of those square bar codes
    CN-A09C42-GX742-01F-S06P-A00

I dont know if this will help, but I can say the r2 and 3 support the multitouch features (with the synaptic drivers versus crappy dell/alienware).

If you can find a listing of the breakdown of parts between a r1 versus a 2/3. Compare the part numbers for the touchpad?

Yea I might actually even consider calling dell and asking for the model # or possibly wondering if someone installs the synaptics driver if it actually tells you what touch pad you have.
