Ok So Im in a fix between the R1 or r2 as i currently own the r1. Since i'm a college student i want a laptop that has enough battery however my main gaming emphases is to play Starcraft 2 Flawlessly on At least High settings if not any higher.
Will trading for r2 be worth the upgrade for a lot less battery? will there be a HUGE difference? I mean if my r1 can run MW2 at Max settings. why not starcraft 2?
*whats the avg max battery life on the i7?*(just surfing/browsing on low lighting, battery saver. etc) -
I got about 5hrs light surfing (ie no heavy flash or youtube etc).
-
anyone else got any i7 ff14 benchmark results? trying to decide whether or not i should drop the money for the m11x r2

Here are some quintessential cool screen shots from Crysis Warhead. Settings are known as enthusiast or very high "on the cheap". Meaning everything is set to gamer and then a few custom settings are vamped to make it look like enthusiast or very high. One important note - this is at DX9 and I did change the shadows to enthusiast. To me they look just as good as gamer at close distance and improve fps by 3. Game play is great on the R1.
FPS varies from 22-40... Thanks for viewing, StevenX

How does the su7300 compare to the i5? If the i7 is just better then the su7300 then does that mean its on par with the i5. And if i choose the su7300 how future proof is it?
Sorry if this has been posted before but I've been looking tirelessly and haven't been able to find anything about it. -
I cannot seem to get the ffxiv benchmark to go any higher then 1100.
I have an m11x with 4 gigs of ram, and an i7.
I overclocked the cpu to the max in the bios with turbo, and the max ghz.
How can i check what ghz my cpu is going at?
I even use this little program called gamebooster.
My initial benchmark was 900 but with the overclocks and such it went to 1100
I also over clocked my gpu to 500/1200/800.
Is a solid state drive really what i need to get to 1400+ or am i just doing something wrong? I even have the latest drivers with the modded .inf.
How come I can run just cause 2 on max settings high res shadows, AA and have an average of 25-30 fps and get a 1100, but my old computer got a 2200 and can only run just cause on medium with low shadows. Im desperate for answers, please help. -

don't worry about the ff14 benchmarks, it's still in beta, not optimized, and even on high end rigs, benchmark numbers are low.

Agreed. I was only able to get 1300 on my system. I did however get a chance to play the beta for about a hour on my system. It looked great but major FPS issues. Again I didn't have time to play with the graphic settings. "Open" beta is starting the 31st so maybe I might get an invite then lol.
