I did that when I installed my drivers, however the freezing still occured, so I doubt its a permanent solution.

As for temps, it ranged from 65-68 while under load and OC'ed, so I'm assuming its not a temperature issue.

it's weekend for me. I have some time today. So I gotta give an intensive run thru and see if I get similar problems. But on my side since day 1 that I installed this driver it has been running fine no crash or any sort. I played around with a couple of drivers. 265.96, 266.35, 266.44 and 266.45 and I personally find the .44 is best for me. If any of you want to try out something different I can post them here.

Well if it helps, I ran several games of League of Legends today without issues, it just seems to occur randomly, and if it were to worsen I may try a fresh install.

I'm not overly concerned since Optimus is a new technology, and it is the price we pay as early adopters lol

It's disheartening to know that the freezing issue still hasn't been addressed. Nvidia seems to be dragging their feet about this.

Having my games lock up randomly is not what I paid 1300.00 for. :(

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 anyone... ??

I download & installed this 266.44 v2 into my laptop. the clean Install is not succesfull, the physics driver won't installed. try using Driver Sweeper and it's installed fine. but failed during play PES 2011. on game setting panel, the resolution only reach 1280 x 760, and the Vram detect 64 mb. Installed back the 260.99 driver and it's back to normal. the Vram detect 992mb.

something I missed ? or the game isn't compatible with PES 2011 ?

Every other driver other than 260.99 makes my computer BSOD now when I overclock in the CMOS.

266.33 fixed the punkbuster problem, but not being able to overclock with it ultimately made me revert back to 260.99

I haven't had one single problem with freezing on this driver. I Have played all my favorite games for several hours at a time to test it (Minecraft,New Vegas,BFBC2,Borderlands,Batman,Starcraft and Mass Effect 2). Could'nt ask for better framrates too, Much higher than I was getting with the dell beta drivers.

Has anyone tested this to see if full screen shots from PB are working in BFBC2? I have tested the 266.58 version and it seems to fix Screen shots if you are in windowed mode only. Can anyone else dime in here?

I installed the V2 version of the 266.44, and I just can't seem to get any game on steam (L4D2, titan quest, BFBC2, etc) to run using nvidia gpu. I have tried to whitelist steam to use nvidia gpu, but that doesn't seem to do it. Any help would greatly be appreciated.

This driver is working best for me. Better than Nvidia WHQL. Thanks again, Kopicha. You rock

I didn't even have to whitelist it when using these drivers. It automatically happened.

okay guys, I'm back, but it's not like anyone missed me or anything. So, here is the update.

266.44 R2 V2--> didn't work because I couldn't get the nvidia to run at all.
266.44 R2 V1--> nvidia works automatically without any need to mess with optimus. L4D2 works great, but for some reason whenever I put "shader detail" on high or extra high, the game would automatically exit out to widow. Other than that, all other advance option under video can be maxed out without any problem. Another weird thing I noticed during my testings is that the multi core render would always default back into "off". So, I always have to manual switch it "on" everytime. Second game I've tried is BFBC2. All video options can be switched on high without any problem, but since it doesn't have the specific "shader detail" option, it kind of make sense. However, the bad news is that the punkbuster didn't get solved. I got kick out within 5 mins of online game play. And yes, I also tried to turn off the "enble steam community in-game" in the steam setting, but that surely didn't help.
Another thing, though this isn't anything revelant, my intel video driver is 8.15.10.2266.
    ****edit****
266.44 R2 V1--> titan quest and its expansion won't launch at all. The screen would just repeatedly flicked in black and white when I try to launch it.
266.44 R2 V1--> counter strike: source would just flickered black and white, and give an error "Failed to create D3D device! Please see the following for more info. http://support.steampowered.com/cgi-bin/steampowered.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_faqid=772?"
    ****edit***
problem is solved by turning off one monitor if you are using dual monitor, which is kinda suck because i usually like to play game on the external monitor and watching movies on laptop's monitor. BTW, the error is not resolved even when you are playing the game in a window mode rather than full screen.

I'm going to uninstalled 266.44 R2 V1 and reinstalled 266.44 R2 V2 again to see if I can get optimus to run nvidia. I will report back within the hour. Wish me luck. I really hope the PB problem is resolved with this.

    ***update***
After reinstalling the 266.44 R2 V2, everything seems to work and PB seems to be resolved for BFBC2. I didn't have to mess up optimus, because nvidia gpu automatically activated when I launched the games. However, "high" or "extra high" on shader detail in L4D2 still forces the game to exit to window. I have only been testing BFBC2 for only 15 mins and haven't been kick out yet :). So far, I'm a happy camper. I still i didn't know why it didn't work before even after numerous rebootings. So, I'm going to do a fresh install of window again and see if I can reproduce the same problem or it's just my bad luck.

    ***update***
    works perfecto...muchos gracios

So epic fail on this driver for me, I had been using this for a week or so without any issues. Now I Can't seem to Run Mass Effect 2, or Bioshock 2 for more than about 10 mins without them crashing. Although the punkbuster issue did get fixed.
