I've been looking for one of these for a while and i have had lots of issues with throttling and weird noises coming from the power supply. I think its time to replace it.
The question is...Which of the two sounds the most legit and OEM so I dont have problems. Aren't OEM alienware ones from DELTA electronics?
Amazon.com: Original Dell 240W AC Power Adapter Charger P13F Laptop Notebook Computers -Flextronics Flat Version: Computers & Accessories
Says P13F in title but description is PA-9E
    Or This one:
Amazon.com: DELL ORIGINAL PA-9E ALIENWARE SLIMLINE AC Power Adapter with Power Cable for Dell Alienware M17x, M17x R3, M18x and Precision M6400, M6500, M6600: Computers & Accessories
Looks more OEM but slightly more expensive.

    What do you think?

New Dell Genuine PA 9E 240W Acpower Adapter Charger for Alienware M17x | eBay

This is the adapter I bought. I made an offer for $40 and the seller counter-offered $45. I accepted it. It's an oem m17x adapter and works fine for me.

Both of the adapters you listed will work. The second one seems to be the one's shipped with the m17x's. I don't know which computers the first one came with.
