I'm sorry to start a new thread just after you've resolved my last one but i've got my 460m now and have hit problems.

    http://oi53.tinypic.com/2qw3rco.jpg

WEI with my 260m installed a couple of months back.

    WEI with the 460m installed.

I've downloaded the latest drivers, it's not the WEI i'm worried about, i know that's not reliable. When i do go on games though i get terrible FPS so i'm thinking WEI is correct and it's not working right. Have BIOS a09, any ideas?

    Thanks.

If your fan issues were resolved in the other thread, then lets move on to your gpu. Make sure stealth mode is off, sometimes its on without even realizing it. I know with me sometimes I have to toggle it on then off, and my fps is fine.

Also, when gaming and such make sure your power options is set to max performance.

If that's not the case then download gpu-z if you don't already have it. Loading it up and in the sensors tab at the very bottom is an option to have a continuous log, check that box. Load up a game and see what gpu-z reports for your clocl/mem/shader as well as gpu load and temps.

It could be that due to your temps and fan not operating correctly that the gpu is throttling.

Did you do a good job on your paste (what paste are you using)?

Btw what driver are you using?

-p.s. I don't rely on wei for anything as I think it's a bunch of bs. As for mine I can't get a score higher than 6.8, but not really bothered as I can game perfectly fine, but I see what you're saying.

Yes i solved my fan issue thanks to you (you're pretty damn helpful, Khetik for mod i say) I've repped you up before, not sure if you can do it more than once but i'm sure going to try.

My computer is always on Max and i watch that silly Stealth mode like a hawk.

I'm deleted the recommended Nvidia driver and got the dell drives just now, i think it's working better (read about the dell drivers on a google search, i don't just post here i do do my own research for hours first) On one of the sites though people were complaining about the Dell drivers. My WEI is 6.9

I'll try that Cpu-z thing, i do have it. And i think i'm down with the paste. Arctic silver five it is.

And yes 260m worked perfect for me, just a shame it decided to explode.

Not tech-y enough to be a mod lol, but thanks for the praise. Just sharing the knowledge I've learned from others helping me on these boards.

But the program is Gpu-Z, same makers of Cpu-z but naturally dedicated for your gpu.

As for your temps, just know that as5 has a curing time of about 200 hours I believe, but you can speed that up by using programs such as prime or occt to induce more heat and then let it cool afterwards.

Glad to hear your fan issue was resolved, and the Dell drivers are working out better for you. Enjoy your new card.
