    Hi!

I am trying to put dell's GTX460M_vbios_A02 on my M15x 460m to solve some throttling issues. The bios software says there is a mismatch between the image card and the installed card, CF11 vs CF12 specifically, and asks for permission to continue.

    Should I upgrade?

thanks. did it and it worked. upped the clocks by 105 units with no significant heat added. good job dell!

however, i still suffer from throttling / stuttering in furmark, so... bad job, dell!

    Hello,

According to the actual page on Dell's site where you can download this file, the PCI ID mismatch is 'normal.' However, it does not list this as being compatiable with the M15x. It lists M17xR3 and Alienware Laptop Av, how many people have succsesfully installed this on an M15x? I am a little hesitant, as I don't want to brick my lapptop (again  ).

    Thanks!
    Rich S.

well, before doing the vbios I did some search on the M15x subforum here, and it seems it does work on the M15x as well.

but the best proof is that it works flawlessly in my case. just make sure you uninstall and then reinstall the drivers, though.
