Hey is there a way (ie a working vbios) to make the 4870 from and m17x r1/r2 work in the m15x?

Have you tried installing the new card? It should be plug and play, it'll likely work with the vbios that's on the card now. I haven't heard of anybody putting a 4870m in their M15x, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

I am assuming he tried. I think table21 uses a M15x as a testbed for his cards.
