So i finally decided to repaste me gpu and cpu on my m15x all seems to have gone well

    idle temp cpu - 50
    idle temp gpu - 45

while looking at the temps over load the cpu is fine , but the GPU quickly gets to 80 , now i looked at the break down and here it is at idle:

    GPU (dispio) - 42
    GPU (memIO) - 48.5
    GPU (shader) - 46.5

so the temps seems fine, mem IO is always higher, even at idle and it was still higher before i did the repaste.. now at load

    GPU (dispio) - 60
    GPU (memIO) - 78
    GPU (shader) - 59

Is that normal for the memIO to be nearly 20degrees higher?!

Memory always have higher temps becouse of thermal pads... Maby you should buy new one, like fujipoly thermal pads 0.5mm thinknes.
I had the same problem with pads on my 5850 when i've tryed 1mm pfobia pads. That pads was to thick and this was a reason of bad contact with chip and radiator.
If you change that pads to cooper plate ~0.4-0.5mm and app themal paste.... MemIO will show you lower temps, even lower than Shader and DispIO.

As a max temp that your hitting that's fine, mine hits about 75ish. But that is weird that there is such a massive difference, i see about a 4-7c difference with mine. Maybe in need of new thermal pads, that's my project for tomorrow. I got the new fujipoly ultra extreme with are 17w/mk .5mm. Your idle temp is better then mine by a few degrees =(

It seems fine to me, the temperatures don't seem that high.

@L_Porras ya I agreed it wasn't high, and stated it was fine. The only strange thing was the difference in temp by about 18-20c which was odd.

Yup, it does seem kinda odd. But it is still under the "normal" temps so I wouldn't worry much about it. That's what I was trying to say :p sorry for the misunderstanding.
