I've been running my Clevo 5870 at 700/[email protected], and I'm considering doing another flash with higher clocks (Blops can drop down to the 40FPS range on some maps, which can be inconvenient). I'd rather not do too many flashes, and therefore am wondering what you guys are running for a reference point.

I'll be flashing to clocks I plan to use permanently, so 800/1100 seems reasonable for this card. The only question is voltage. I know for stock clocks there was a chance I could've run at as low as .95v, but I didn't want to push it.

    Thanks!

This is separate, but has anyone tried an AMD 6970 in the M15 yet?

Nope, you will probably get artifacts under load... you'll have to try it yourself though as ever chip is a little different.

I would just bump the voltage to 1.1v for stability. Just make sure you see what your temp range would be at. Also, try it at stock voltage. You never know.

i mainly used 750/1050 @ 1.0v when i had my 5850. i don't recommend going any higher on the memory since those tend to be the hottest part of the card. you can prolly go higher on the core clock though with a higher voltage but it depends on your card. some can take it and others can't. have you tried the 11.4 drivers those gave me a really nice boost in performance.

6970 in M15x will be tested soon. should have results by end of the week.

I swapped out my usual 500GB HDD for my Intel SSD recently, and I can't get the 11.4 drivers to install. It's infuriating. I have no idea what else to try to get these to install. It installed perfectly over the 11.2s on my last Windows installation. I get to a point in the installation where it says enumerating source files, or something like that, and then it stays there. Not frozen, but nothing is progressing and it can't be closed without killing the process. I'm perplexed.

I've tried installing over 11.2s, clean installing after using Driver Sweeper, running the executable, running through the device manager, and nothing seems to work.

    Any suggestions on that?

Edit: I'm going to download multiple other modded/mobility and whatnot versions and see if they install. I know my installer isn't corrupted because I've downloaded it multiple times already, so that's not the issue.

Edit: The third installer worked (first stock one didn't, first modified one didn't, second modified one did). That was ridiculous, but it's all working now.

Under load it didnt seem to be unstable but i ve lowered the memory back to 1000. other then that 800/1000 stock voltage seems to be running well for me.

At my old settings of 700/1000 1.05v I maxed out at 55 Celsius after hours of Blops.

    Now I just flashed 800/1100 1.1v, and I'm off to play. :)

Edit: now it maxes out at 65 Celsius, which is still fine.
