    Well, i noticed that there was a problem with the 6970m from ebay and thats the soldered holes.

    I was wondering what the best approach to fix the hole problem was, i can either:

    desolder it
    get smaller screws
    drill it

    i was planning on just desoldering it, but to the people who bought it, what did you do?

    Xeroxide and I both drilled ours. I believe Mr Valle managed to desolder his, but with a bit of difficulty.

    @IrateMike:

    Is there a guide or something for drilling those holes?

    Yeah desolder was a bit tricky. I held the card with one hand, heating iron(what is it called) in my other hand. And my GF had to stick a very flat screw driver on the backside to jiggle them off Micro millimeter at a time. Now that i know a good tactic for it i would desolder them off again if put in this situation again.

    But i wouldnt do it alone.

    Well thanks for the suggestions guys, but i managed to message the seller an hour before he was about to ship the thing that i wanted it without soldered in holes.

    Also, i got $40 back because the cards $379 now =D

    Instead of prying off the solder, you can get solder wick, looks like this:

    What you do is put the wick down on the solder you want to remove, then put the iron on top of it, and the heat will go through the wick and melt the solder, then the wick will absorb it. Very easy to do, and would be my preference over drilling by far.
