Its just one thing after another with these 6970 cards. So after trying a few things to stop the computer shutdowns i decided to try some different drivers and now im stuck.

Uninstalled ati drivers, restarted and cleaned in safe mode, restarted and just sits at starting windows logo and then thats as far as it goes.

Hard reset and back into safe mode, try to install any ati driver and always gets "failed to load detection drivers".

Google this and says to reinstall C++ redistribution but that fails too because you cant install it in safe mode.

    Any ideas?

Was able to get into normal windows by removing the standard vga adaptor drivers in safe mode. Then was able to install ati drivers. Cant update to the 902 drivers, only 11.10 901

try driver sweep + ccleaner in safe mode and reinstall again
