    8GB Ram Upgrade but Dxdiag shows 5Gig ?

    Hello,
    My first post :)

    I recently installed this Ram upgrade via Crucial :
    8GB Kit (4GBx2), 204-pin SODIMM Upgrade for a Alienware M15x System

    When I run Dxdiag it shows 5.12 GB, I would of expected around 7'sh but 5 seems very low ?

    Any suggestions please ?

    Does it show the 8gb on Windows and the BIOS as well? it could be just a DxDiag error. I have seen it showing only the intel HD on some of our other machines.
