    Hello forum!
So I got the new 920xm and SSD installed(waiting on gpu upgrade still), so I'm still using a 5850 oc'd to 750/1050
I looked at previous posts about the program of Throttlestop 6.00. So I have a few questions:
    1. Will i still see a performance increase by oc'ing my cpu with this old gpu?
    2. Where do i go to OC the cpu in this program?? A screen shot of what a base safe oc would be perhaps or a quick walk through? Looks as though I want to adjust the TRL and TPL values?
    3. Thanks in advance!

Hey, glad to hear you have an Intel Core i7-920XM. The 5850 still has a bit of kick to it. You will however see a noticeable speed boost with a 7970M or 8970M. You will see a speed improvement in general with OC'ing the CPU. The additional speed will only benefit the GPU. In order to OC the CPU in Throttlestop, you need to adjust the Set Multiplier setting to the desired speed. As for what speeds to set, I will post what King Of Interns has said to me regarding the OC of the 920XM:

"You can very easily run your 920xm at 24x (3.2ghz) on 4 cores and 26-27x on 1 and 2 (3.5-3.6ghz) cores. This approximately nearly doubles the performance vs you'd old 720qm and the cooling can handle it. You can also control the fans manually using Hwinfo. Setting the fans to their max 5000rpm when you think you need it. Monitor CPU temps in your system tray using coretemp and the gpu using gpuz."

If you have any additional questions, be sure to let us know and GL!
