    Hi everybody!

    First, sorry for my english...

    I'm updating my m15x.

Bios09. Gtx 970 (working good). 240 ac (pin not modified;bios warnings disabled). 16gRAM. SSD. wifi/bluetooth...

i bought i7 940xm to a eBay seller and wait for a three weeks until two days ago.

i installed it and m15x don't turn on... keyboard leds on and cap-scroll-num less flashing...

Cmos battery rest made and press for 1 min alien button too...

Any "magic" tip or simply "another" fake cpu??

PD: one screw of heatskin cpu does not tighten in motherboard nut... :´(

    Thanks for fast reply!

Everything ok with old one (720 core).

I tried with 940xm for three times... and same scroll-cap-num flash!

    :(

Somebody had this exact problem a few months back, turns out he bought a fake CPU. Why somebody would go through the trouble of faking an 8 year old CPU....I don't know.

That person was me. Try going into Bios. Check the CPU ID. If the clock speed and CPU is not identified as 940XM. Its a fake.
