    Had some bad storms last night. I unplugged my laptop before the power went out. This morning when I plugged everything back in I got an error while booting.

    I can't remember the exact error (I'm at work) but it was something along the lines of: The AC adapter is not the correct votage F1 to continue F2 to enter setup.

    In bios it didn't recognize the AC adapter voltage. I went ahead and rebooted and let it boot into windows. I noticed the laptop was drawing power but not charging the battery. I rebooted again. This time the error did not come up and when it loaded into Windows the battery was charging.

    Do you think I should go ahead and buy another adapter? Or perhaps the storm just confused it and now it will be OK? I would hate to damage anything.

    Try the power drain trick:

    * Turn off your M15x
    * Remove the battery
    * Disconnect the power cord
    * Press and hold the power button for 15-20 seconds
    * Replace the battery and connect the power cord
    * Start your M15x.

    It is unlikely that you need a new power adapter.

    That happens every so often, especially when the AC Adapter isn't fully inserted into the female port.
    If it's just a tiny bit out, you can get that error, it's happened to me before.
    You should be more than ok. I'd suggest holding off on a new adapter until the message becomes more recurring

    Ahhh, yeah. I forgot to try the power drain trick. I'll give that a shot when I get home. Hopefully that will do it. I don't feel like paying $133 for another one.
