Hey guys im starting to upgrade my m15x. So far i got a 920xm and next im going to get a 6970m. I have a couple of questions though.

    1. I hear its suggested to get a larger psu, wheres a good place to get one and what size should i be looking for. And will there be any problems just running on the standard PSU without overclocking etc.

    2. Will the heatsink from my 260m fit on the 6970?

    3. My cd rom is having issues all the time and im looking at replacing it. Will any slim bay laptop dvdrom fit in the M15x or should i find the same model to replace it. If i need the same model where is a good place to get it?

    1. You don't have to get a bigger psu. The stock one should run just find, unless you plan to overclocked it heavily then it not necessarily to get a bigger psu. If you still want one this is the one that I got. It run much cooler and with my stock psu I did get one shutdown while playing crysis 2 but with this one I never had a shutdown. I also overclocked my cpu and gpu.

    2. Yes the original heatsink and xplate work just find.

    3. Since you replacing your optical drive might as will get a bd player one or a bd burner.

The stock psu should be fine unless you're into heavy overclocking both the cpu and gpu. You could always replace the optical drive with a second hard drive and buy an external optical drive, just a thought.
