    I finally ordered my M15x.

Thank you to everyone on the forums for helping me decide what to buy, etc. Only thing I'm worried about is warranty. I'll keep my fingers crossed .. hopefully I won't find any lemons once it gets shipped from Dell (A) to US (B) and then my country (C).

    - For people who ordered a M15x and got shipped from A->B->C .. how long did it take? (I know it depends on where you are/shipping, etc.)

    - If I do get problems and I still have my warranty.. how do I get it fixed? (Total noob here) Do I have to send it to Alienware in the US? Or can I fix it in a local IT shop or something. It won't cost anything, right?

    Thanks again.

Maybe If you encountered any problems Dell might send you a box and ship it to your local Dell outlet/Store and get them to fix it? It's international warranty right? :)

Ill make this a quick yet imformative post!

    1. My shipping route looked like this. Mylasia ---> Dell (texas) ---> Canada ---> NORTHERN CANADA (arctic circle). This look 3 weeks (this includes build time). So two weeks shipping!

    2. Send it to dell. If you take it to an IT shop all they'll do is ship it to dell and charge YOU a premium. Cut out the middle man. Ship it to dell

The waits the hardest part. Once you get your laptop add me on steam

    Steam id: bwazy

Let us know when you got your system!

That's the thing.. how will they send me a box? I ordered through a store so ya know- it was my only option. If they send me a box, wouldn't they send it to the person in the US who ordered it for me in the first place? If I do go to a Dell store.. can they fix it since it's the same company? For free?

Woah, it's good that you got it fast even though it's 3 weeks for.. 4 countries.

How do I ship it to Dell? How would you/did you do it? Do I have to ship it to the guy in the US then have him ship it to Dell? Like a reverse? x_X Is it free? Cause if that man told me that there's shipping/delivery and tax costs.. I swear I'll put him in a box and send him to space.

I already waited 2 weeks for the dude in the store to finally order it for me, I would have received it by now if it wasn't for the delay. Already, if I do get a chance to play/buy games on steam- I'll be sure to add you. Oh and if I get it, I'll log on through my alienware and maybe even show it off a bit with pictures :p

    congrats.
glad you finally got things sorted out.

hopefully you won't need to ship anything back to dell.
but keep the box in top shape just in case, they make really good packaging and can be useful in the event you need to ship it back for repairs/services.

Huh? alienware takes 4 months to build a laptop? that's an all new low. Unless you are getting your Alienware after your O or A levels...

Perhaps it has to ship to the US first regardless of where it is going.......the manufacturing is outsourced but the shipping is done by Purolator worldwide I think.....and because it would ship from the US as a domestic product it counts towards the US Gross National Product I think.....or something along those lines...

i'm sorry ehowse, but no. For Singapore, we get our laptops from china. Straight. I got mine within 21 days of order. Which is why i think there's something terribly wrong with a December delivery date.

We aren't talking about a December delivery date, the OP said 14 days from order which seems fine to me.....You just said yours took 21 days so 14 is a great improvement. As for my post I was just speculating why it would take 14 days to go a few hundred kilometers ;)

it was from the tv show 24. when time was running out you'd get this sort of effect
YouTube - "24" Themed Countdown Clock (1 Minute)

at the same time it usually split the screen into 2 - 4 sections depicting action happening at multiple locations at once. very nice effect imo, but that beep is stuck in my subconscious for the rest of my life

and yeh it's from malaysia. mine was quick, although it took a while from processing to building, i gave them a call.... 5 min later the website was updated.

totally off topic but somehow relevant, i LOVE the malay accent!
