    Hi,

I've had my M15x for a while and the AlienFX command centre always worked fine.

However, recently, if I change the colours of the on/off switch and the main logo on the back, they don't change; I have tried all the "New Owner M15x" basic steps to fix these kind of problems but the issue still persists.

I also deleted the theme in which the front on/off switch and back head logo were that specific colour, yet they still do not change. I can change the keyboard and trackpad lighting fine, however.

Also, sometimes when I power off, when I power back on the theme changes to that deleted theme.

It's not the biggest problem in the world and I just wanted to know how to fix those two issues.

    Thanks.

Sorry if it's in the wrong thread

See if a full power drain can fix this.
-remove your power cord and system battery
    -unplug the CMOS coincell battery
-press the power button for ~1 minute
-put everything back together and see if you can create a new theme and save it

    Cheers

    Ok, it didn't work.

I've taken ages to respond, sorry. But I tried that and it didn't work.

Anyway, I can't change the colour of the heads, and when I restart my computer, it reverts to the yellow theme I had (and I've deleted every single theme).

    Any other help?

Have you uninstalled the alienfx? try that. Uninstall it, run Ccleaner, and reinstall after downloading a new copy from dell website (DONT USE THE DVD).. It should work then.

    Btw, are u in pakistan?

Didn't work, but I fixed it. Found hidden icon on taskbar after a message popped up saying

"AlienFX will not monitor events and will only desplay the Default event on your system. However AlienFX will display 3rd party lighting effects."

I noticed icon on tasked bar and clicked it, and enabled some stuff. Works fine now.

Thanks for all your help guys :)
