    Hi,

    Well, I was playing with AlienFX Winamp plugin and while my lights were blinking like crazy, suddenly, out of nowhere all my lights went off and never came back. And now everytime I restart my laptop it says some device is connected through USB that can not be recognized. Well I tried everything (installing command center, formatting windows etc...) nothing works. So I guess alienfx circuit is fried. :(

    What I need to know is which component do I need to change in order to make it work again. Is the controller chip intalled inside keyboard or motherboard?

    Thanks in advance

    Have you tried a power drain? Laptop off, no battery/adapter, hold power button for 20-30secs. If your alienfx is indeed fried, i believe the only fix is a new mobo.

    If the controller chip is on mobo, and considering the sweet price of a new mobo;

    I better stick with lightless M15x for a while :p

    Hi again,

    Well, my light are back on! I was watching a movie and suddenly something distracted me, then I realized my lights are working again. So what do you call that? Deamon work? or maybe it was my laptops way of telling me I am not showing enough interest to her? :p
