Okay. After 2 weeks of long waiting, the Corporate Sales Executive from the store that I'm ordering through finally sent me a god damn email with the price change whatever..

$2,269 < Price on the US site. (With the 2nd Business Day Delivery it equals to: $2,308
$3,200 < Price he included in the ing email with no ing reasons why it's like that.

I'm guessing it's for the shipping and tax. I live in the Middle East if no one knows.. I think this store is the only way I can buy an Alienware and I really want one badly, UGH.

I will call him in a few.. I was just wondering what should I say? I was thinking of asking him how much is it for the total shipping and tax.

I was wondering, did you guys pay all the amount at once for your alienware? Shipping/Tax/Delivery all that.

Please don't offer me any other solutions -- I tried exploring all my other options.. I have none.

This is the email he sent me:
Btw the attached specification is the printed summary of the Alienware M15x specifications on the Dell US ordering site that I PRINTED -- which included everything I wanted that he scanned in black/white colors.. cheap astard. I'm already paying a load of $$$$ for my alienware, why take more!? :( Do stores do this?

    Specifications:
    i7 840QM
    ATI 5850
    500 GB
    6 GB RAM
    900p
    6 cell

    Help?

Well, ask them for a detailed quote showing all the items that are included for the package. This seems highly unprofessional and I suspect there is a quite high margin(about 25%) on the laptop.

Just tell them that you cannot do any business with them unless they give a complete detailed quote showing you exactly where the price comes from.

i'm probably one of the most ignorant when it comes to overseas shipping, but is it possible that the government has some sort of import tax which they (dell) are forwarding to you?

still that's a rather huge markup, i'd be asking questions too.

as watto's said, ask for a detailed quote showing where the unknown fees are coming from.

if they still try to screw you with the price just get a Sager... You get more for alot less.... And there design isnt that bad.... I do love my M15x though..

Also this gives you a clear view of how unprofessional Dells customer support is.

I dont think its dell where he wants to buy the laptop from, but rather a reseller, which tries to put on a high profit margin.

make sure they provide you with warranty also, i would not buy a 3k+ laptop with no warranty.

Here are official resellers for the middle east, UAE, Qatar, Iraq, Jordan, Bahrain, Yemen and what not. You might want to check different offerings:
    Dell Middle East

Also with that 50% percent they demand, they could already buy like 80% of the laptop from another country, so it sounds like a pretty bad deal to me. Just make sure you buy from an actual Reseller, where you also get warranty within your country.
