Hi, I'm new in this forum

I'm am in the process of buying my fist gaming laptop since I broke my old hp laptop 2 months ago and need your advice

Here are the spec that he told me for 1,360 dollars
    M15x R2
    I7 970x
    8 gb ram VGA
    500 gb hd
    Cd and box included

He also told me that he is the first owner and got it 2 months ago
I know that m15x models are discontinued and replaced by m14x
And it was released sometime last year.

Please advice if it's the worth my money
I have no problem with the weight issue also.

To the mods: if there is a tread for this query please kindy merge.

    Hello and welcome to NBR.

First of all the M15x R2 does not exist.
There was the original (before Dell acquired Alienware) Alienware area-51 m15x and there's the Alienware M15x released by Dell.
Same goes for that processor. The i7 970 is not a mobile processor and can not fit in the M15x.

And most important 1360$ is too much to pay for a M15x with any configuration.

Absolutely confusing. Definitely need to get him to post the correct full specs.

Also $1360 dollars is only acceptable if it is practically unused but comes with 6990M,920xm,256GB SSD and at least 8GB of ram then it would be reasonsable lol. Maybe get him to make it 16GB of ram lol and stick a HDD in the optical bay too for that price!

from the site, it's clearly stated M17X R2...

The price is consider normal i think for 17X R2... even though the GPU is kinda old, but it's crossfire, then it still have power with it.. :)

Evgasr2, lol I didn't know until I read your post as when i saw it and he gave me the same link yesterday it was still m15x r2.

Anyway Thanks guys, the seller owns 2 AW, 15 and 17x as per his SMS just now
He sells both and the link where he sell those, he change it from m15 to m17
with all this confusion I might pass to this one.

I have AW x51 already, I am looking for portable gaming the one I can carry anywhere
Do you have any suggestions and maybe the regular 2nd hand price?
