    Hey guys!
Sorry about open this again. but i really need upgrade to win8.

I'm was using Win7 but i need upgrade to W8 because i'm app developer for windows phone.

    So here we go.

I've a GTX 765M and to use it in M15X i need modify .inf files. Works great on windows7, but In Windows8 I need to disable the IDT Audio in bios, if not, the screen goes black at startup. In windows7 the same thing happens, but if you install the drivers in the correct order and in safe mode everything happens perfectly.

I have read in some forums that some people can use Win8 + gtx 765m + alienwarem15x but could not figure out which version of the drivers or which step by step they are using.

I wonder if anyone has any tips on how to use the GTX 765m + Windows8.

I've tried 3 different versions of drivers and have not had success.

Any idea? Or stay to choose between being stuck in windows7 or use Windows8 without audio.

I managed to get it working Windows8 + gtx780m. It may work for the 765m too. If I remember correctly, these were the steps:

    1.Turn off audio from bios
    2.Install the nvidia drivers
3.Turn off anything you find in device manager under sound (disable)

    4. (A restart/boot safe mode/install IDT MAY have been required prior to this) Enable audio in bios, boot safe mode and install IDT

I can't exactly remember step 4, but I know that when the sound from bios is disabled, NOTHING should be found in device manager under sound. If there is, you will get a white/purple/anyOtherColor screen.

The only downside in the end is that you will not be able to use the sound over display port

    yah, almost what i do.

1 Turn off audio from bios.
    2 Install all drivers
3 Boot in Disabling Driver Signature - Install Nvidia Driver
4 Turn ON Audio in BIOS and restart in safe mod
    5 Install IDT driver
    6 Restart again in safemode
7 Disable all audio drivers and enable it again.

Tryed with 4 different drivers, nothing work. Always blackscreen. All of this drivers works on Win7 .

Between step 3 and 4 you need to disable everything you find in device manager under sound.
    I don't think step 6 and 7 are necessary.

I know this thread is dead but I was wondering if you where able to fix this issue with your M15x? I'm running into the same issue and anyway I go about installing the driver I still get a white/purple/or any other color screen. I have a M15x with a GTX 765m.
