    Hey guys hows it going.

I had a fun day today with AW reps. I'll try to make it short. When I first purchased my Alienware M15x I didnt have enough of a budget to get the "advanced" warranty (protects against accidental damage) so I decided to get the basic 1 year and upgrade before I left for school (sept 2nd).

ANYWAYS, today when I called they said they couldnt extend my warranty to the "Advanced" because I already had the Advanced warranty.... Which didnt make sense. So I asked them about the advanced warranty and they responded by stating that it doesnt cover accidental damage.... Which it does say on the Canadian site.

So I figured... Alright, Ill just extend my basic warranty to 3 years. Turns out that this isnt even an option because I can't downgrade my warranty.... Hell it even says basic warranty on my invoice/ reciept....

yes this even confuses me to a great extent. I expected to pay 200 bucks for 2 more years of basic warranty and now all I can do is pay 500 dollars for 2 years "complete care"....

Anyone have any advice upon this situation... Sorry if its a cassaroul of disaster, I just got off work and am stressed..... Had to meet the Prime Minister of Canada >_<

your invoice says basic and you can't extend? had a same exp with a rep(prior to ordering), not sure if he's the same guy ... his answers to my questions were not much of a help and he keeps asking me if im ready to order and that he would immediately blah blah my order, i hunged up the phone and tried another rep.

Sounds like a scam to get you to overspend on the new warranty. Keep calling i'm sure you can get this figured out.
