    Hi folks,

I have recently purchased Alienware m15x which is going pretty good so far, the only problem is that every time I am watching any 1080p blu-ray movie it keeps on lagging, i can barley watch it. I have tried latest mobility radeon catalyst 11.5 driver for 5850, tried different players(vlc, gomplayer, the kmplayer) but none of them worked. I have also reinstalled the latest version of dell video driver for 5850 but it didnt work. Any help would be highly appreciated.

i do not have blue ray, but i have noticed in video sometimes using a more powerful power profile helped. you could use "high performance", and i also suggest you check stealth mode.

It might help if you explain what you mean by "lagging". If it's generally running slow, stuttering, or pausing, first thing to check is stealth mode. You may also want to "unpark" your CPU. If sound and video are not synchronized, that would suggest a different problem.
