My son bought an alienware m15x for gaming, its done great until 2 weeks ago when his laptop crashed after 10 minuets of playing an game, it just cuts out, now ive done multiple things, updated drivers, virus checks, and even a full wipe of the system yet hes still having this problem, also his service tag wont work on the dell site, even if he lets dell find it for him

Check the temps of the CPU, GPU. HWMonitor/Open HWMonitor should do that for you.

Is your son's laptop using an upgraded GPU? If it is, maybe the GPU is tripping the power supply. You may also want to consider re-pasting everything.

Either a PSU problem or motherboard problem
