Every time I open alienwarefx it says "The device you have selected is included in the current theme but AlienFX cannot detect this device on your system. Do you want to remove this device from the current theme?" And if I press no, whenever I change the color nothing happens. And if I press yes and try to change the color it says"
System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

First thing first, are the lights working? If so, install .net framework 4.5.2 try the alien fx once again.
If the lights are not working from the moment laptop turns on you will however need the alienfx chip to be reflashed. I can do that for you if you wish or write you up on how to do it, you will need to get special tools to do it tho.

If you install the Command Center from the Dell disc after previously having installed a newer version of Command Center from Dell's site on that same motherboard, it may have corrupted your AlienFX chip's firmware.

If this applies to you, you can:

    - Send your laptop to someone with the tools to reprogram the AlienFX chip (like Maxslo)
    - Buy the chip programmer and download the software to do this yourself

    - Get a new motherboard
    - Leave it as it is.
