    Just wondering if anyone has managed to do a successful transplant of these keyboards. I bought one off a website in China, was $31 something shipped and it's the keyboard for the Pre-Dell M15. The site was one that's been used by people on here it just turns out they don't stock the model for the Dell version yet have it listed under Dell-Alienware. :mad:

    It won't fit unfortunately.
    But you might be able to return it since this is false advertising.
    What you have is a M15x and the keyboard is for a area-51 m15x

    Yeah but it's gotta go back to China (yes you read the right) the site is PChub and no I didn't have a part number for my laptop's keyboard. If shipping were free it would be okay but I dare to say most if not all places offer free return shipping and likely that would be the cost of the keyboard. Worst case I guess I've got a full supply of key caps and those hinges now too. :p

    The key caps are compatible, i can tell you that ;)

    Also the correct part number for the Alienware M15x keyboard is MT749.

    Alienware can sell me a keyboard directly? Kata, I found that after yanking everything apart to try and mount the other keyboard. :(
