    Hi guys,

First time posting here. I recently got a Bluetooth speaker (JBL Pluse, perfect match for AW check it out if you haven't). And I just realized that after the Win10 upgrade, my Bluetooth was somehow gone, the icon was gone from the menu bar and I can't fine anything related to Bluetooth in PC Setting. But the Driver seems still there, just not working at all. So I re-install the driver, had to use the DELL Bluetooth 380 Driver since that is the only one works for me on Win8. It actually bring back the Bluetooth and I have successfully connected to the speaker. But here is the catch, somehow, while my pc is powered on and I turn on my speaker, it connect via Bluetooth and system got stuck and freeze. It only happen from time to time, and the cpu got super busy and just freeze and restart a few seconds after. I thought it's a driver issue, not sure if anyone else have the same issue.

Also, I know that it's a pretty old Bluetooth (2.0 I guess?), and the Driver become a problem since win8. Dell no longer update the driver for this Bluetooth 370 device. So I'm thinking about maybe I should go ahead and get myself a new wifi card like Inter 7260 or killer 1202. Both of them have Bluetooth 4.0 integrated, so I can just remove the old stock BT card. Also, I have a AC router in my home (Netgear R7000). But as far as I know, all the ac card like intel 7260 is 2*2 card, which means instead of 3 antenna m15x and stock intel 5300 has, it only has 2 antenna. So my concern is basically 802.ac vs 3 antenna, is ac still a better one to get?

    Thanks

Hum. You're right, I hadn't noticed that my bluetooth had disappeared under W10. Will keep an eye on this answer. I upgraded the 5300 WIFI card to a 6300. Going to try and reinstall the bluetoooth driver and see if I get the same issues as you.

have you find any difference between 5300 and 6300 yet? Personally I pretty satisfy with 5300, it keep up with my 150Mbps Internet with no issue.
I only want to change it because of the BT issue.

I tried to install the stock m15x bluetooth drivers onto W10 and Windows Compatibility Centre stopped the installation due to compatibility issues... I'm going to do some hunting to see if I can find
To be honest, not a huge amount really. I also have a BT dongle which i didn't really notice a huge difference too either.

Just FYI, I used the one for DELL BT 380. Install that first and then install the one from Broadcomm (generic for all broadcomm bt). This make the BT works, but like I said, giving me some troubles on my bt speaker.

I haven't found a driver that Windows 10 will allow to install as compatible.

NP. Also, I found when my wifi card works at full speed (downloading or something), my bluetooth speaker sounds become disjoint, on and off. It's so annoying and don't even know why (I blame the driver tho).
So I got myself a 7260AC and bootable usb card. Plan to install it when I'm in the mood.

I had this problem too. It didn't even show up in Device Manager at all. The driver that worked for me was the Dell Wireless 380 Bluetooth module v12.0 (A01). It is a Windows 8.1 driver but it will work on Windows 10. If I recall, it comes up with an error but you can just continue and the drivers will install fine. Honestly though I am happy with 7 . Plus I got a couple of blue screens in 10 and had problems resuming from standby. Until official drivers are released, I'll stick with 7. Win10 did nothing for me except for some pretty new colors.

Finally, I replace the old 5300 and BT2.0 card with 7260AC and a mini pci - usb card.
7260AC works fine, and the BT speaker now works like a charm, even the wifi speed is slight better.
I do have some issue with the mini pci to usb card though. It's bootable, and I can see it from the boot option. But I've tried install a Ubuntu on it, and there is some error appear during the middle of the installation. Wired.

Just bought myself a 7260AC wifi card, version without bluetooth. @bibimona was driver installation simple enough on windows 10?

I didn't remember installing any driver manually, just simple plug n play.

This is good to know for when I do the Win 7 to Win 10 transfer in the summer 2016.

    Cheers for sharing!

Intel 7260AC installed and working perfectly! Can't really notice much difference due to my internet being sooo slow at my parent's house!
