    Boot up sadness!!!

    guys my M15X's got a new replaced mobo,keyboard,GPU,palmrest,soundjack,speakers .....but not replaced my pc :mad:....but my boot up's making me mad!!

    everytime i boot it up m15x needs the powerdrain trick to be done or i must plug in the charger to boot it up otherwise keyboard lights up but windows doesn't get booted up[screen doesn't light up :confused: ]...all preboot assesment done and new BIOS A09 installed!!.... :eek: ?

    please need help :( !!!

    Screen doesn't light up when not plugged in? What are your brightness settings?
    I remember that my screen didn't light up on boot after a system crash when I had my brightness on the lowest level previously.

    not the brightness sorry i mean screen doesn't get even switched on !!!

    Yes, that's what happend to me when I had the brightness on the lowest level... but I guess it's probably a more serious issue in your case.

    You say you need to boot with AC plugged in, this means this only happens when on battery?

    no no the screen doesn't display anything :mad: !!!
    and i must either do the powerdrain trick :( or plug my ac adapter after 3 sec then directly it shows up win7 boot up screen!!

    what happens after u boot up into windows can u unplug your ac:

    will your lappy run good with screen on

    or does it shut down.....

    yep i could unplug the ac adapter :cool: !!

    and windows 7 is running fine :) !!

    Sorry, when you see on the screen the boot up Alienware logo... you have the keyboard lights ON?

    sorry for my observation mistake guys.....its all about the brightness issue!!
    backlight problem, what should i do now?

    and it gave me an error in preboot assesment unable to modify the lcd panel brightness!!

    Are you sure you don't have the LCD panel brightness dimmer activated?

    U should probably call dell and state the new issues and request a overnite shipping request service, imo

    actually ill contact em but this looks like some kinda small bug...i can correct it please post the instructions!!
