So the story is this, i bought a powered usb hub, but the adapter was inveted polarity and burned the hub, but also burned the right back port of the machine!!!

I have data in the port but no power, i can plug my external hdd with a Y cable and its recognized but canot power anything from the port, usb mouse dongle, flash sitck, nothing.

if i change the usb pieces that comes with esata port and audio, would that work?? or the power comes from mobo all the way??

    M15x BTW.

Right now Im really pissed off by this thing and can't thing how to make it work

Ok, I feel a little more relaxed now.

I have disassembled the computer now, and after a first inspection i think what is burn is the TP2062 chip, that is the current limited and power distribution switch.

    http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/tps2062.pdf

now the weird part is that it says it has a short circuit protection.
DESCRIPTION (CONTINUED) When the output load exceeds the current-limit threshold or a short is present, the device limits the output current to a safe level by switching into a constant-current mode, pulling the overcurrent (OCx) logic output low. When continuous heavy overloads and short-circuits increase the power dissipation in the switch, causing the junction temperature to rise, a thermal protection circuit shuts off the switch to prevent damage. Recovery from a thermal shutdown is automatic once the device has cooled sufficiently. Internal circuitry ensures that the switch remains off until valid input voltage is present. This power-distribution switch is designed to set current limit at 1.5 A typically

So if anyone has one of this spare that i can get

Try parts-people.com or ztronics.com, maybe they can help you out with that specific part.
They are out most trusted re-sellers.
