so i was searching about a battery replacement for my m15x ,

    but i found this " CD-ROM drive Battery " http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-CD-...820118?hash=item3f1a474d56:g:va0AAOxye3BRsq4K

so i am wondering what is this ? is it upgrade for the CD-ROM drive ? , like when installing a caddy with a second hard drive ?

I mean i will have two batteries in my device , is it possible ? and how i will charge it ? it has ports or something ? , i don't get it .

Please if anyone can share some knowledge about it , or tries it before in similar or another laptops .

It's for the Alienware Area-51 M15x, i have one here, also bought it for the Dell Alienware M15x, but it is actuallly for the older Area-51 model... Shipping it back would be almost half the price of the battery so i'm holding onto it in case i get Area-51 in my hands anytime soon.
I've wrote the seller that the description is wrong that it's for Area-51 M15x one not the Dell M15x, looks like he doesn't care enough to change it.

It's easy to confuse those two models because they are both called by the same name except for the "Area 51" label on the older one. The newer one is sometimes called "All Powerful" or "M15X R2" or simply "M15X" with a capital M. Both are completely different with no compatible parts between the two. The newer one which we have is far superior in almost every aspect, especially build quality. I had the old one and the screen hinges cracked the lid after my first day of use. I still loved the look of the old one though, especially the ribcage design on the screen lid. Reminded me of my old Aurora m9700.
