Edit (July 6): Mobility modded Catalyst 11.7b Hotfix drivers available here: [email protected]. The set includes newer drivers dated June 27, so they will install cleanly over the prior developer's release Cat 11.7 set.
    ________________________________________

A mobility mod of an unofficial developers' release of the Catalyst 11.7 driver set is available to download. [email protected]. Based upon the desktop version, it includes all the bells and whistles. Based on very limited use (Vantage run at 750/950 with 6970M), performance seems about the same as the 11.5b/11.6 drivers, but they are said to be more stable and to avoid the black screen issues seen with the Cat 11.6 drivers by some users. Use at your own risk.

Hoping for the best with your 6970m, so that you can demote my benchmark standings. Feel like a fraud with you side-lined.

I installed these late last night with no issues thus far.

Have not done anything extensive yet but so far so good .

I used this version instead of Asder's but his is probably exactly the same just with more cards added to the inf.

Hey, Quad. Great to see you again. Thanks for the direct link. Are you doing your own mobility mod to install them? +Rep.

Good to see you to .

The drivers installed straight away without modding them.

I saw these on Guru3d late last night and the OP mentioned there was some Mobility support already in them by default . Not sure exactly which cards are in the original .inf so i bolded the some word :).

Well, maybe that signals a little more recognition of the mobility users by AMD. That would be a welcome change.

I like the idea of one unified driver working for everything but i am not sure how feasible that is and they might always be in separate releases when it comes to the Official stuff.

Hey Quad, did you have to do the typical install process of the Dell drivers first then install 11.7 over them or does switching work with these only?

Yes i just over installed on top of the Dell ones.

I came from 11.5b and these installed without issue .

I was using a restored OS image that had 11.5b on them and i had not installed 11.6 so i am not sure if there are issues coming from 11.6 .

I just wish they would finally implement the data necessary to just install one driver, I'm kinda sick of this install Dell then install AMD crap.

Yeah or i wish we could figure out how to imbed the CPUGPU driver into the latest ATI driver ourselves because i think thats where the problem is.

When you originally install the Dell drivers it installs the Intel driver as well from what i gather so it must be somewhere inside of there AMD driver package ?.

Yeah it's probably something semi-similar to what they did with the M11xR1 with the drivers as it does install the IGP driver as well. It's gotta be pre-packaged and I'm sure we could figure it out I just haven't had the time to compare driver packaging and the files to find where the difference lies. The crap part is for some reason I can't even update the IGP driver as it's pre-packaged with the Dell driver and won't allow the install of any other drivers once installed for some reason.
