My charging cable has decided to stop working, even though it is plugged in, it won't show that it's in there, and won't charge the battery. I have to move it around to get it to work, and it has to be in the perfect spot to show up as plugged in. Now the battery is dead and I can't get it to charge because there is no way to tell if it's plugged in the right way. So I'm just gonna buy a new cable, 150W Alienware DA150PM100-00 Laptop AC Adapter - Shop for Computers & Software at Bizrate - Compare prices and read consumer reviews! from there, but if you know that it can't possibly be the cable that's the problem, please tell me. The metal parts that plug into the wall are bent and I assume that's the problem, because I have taken great care of everything else. I think my warranty is expired, but I'll check just in case.

TL;DR, is it possible for the charging cable to be damaged and not recognize it's plugged in.

Refer to this post. It seems that it is the adapter. :(

Same problem here, except I have 9% left. :(
