Most people will be expecting me to ask how to clean junk temporary files and optimise system etc but I am actually looking for advice on how to physically clean the case of my M15x.
With my new gfx card finally inbound I want to take the opportunity to get my m15x looking like new.

The metal case is easy to clean but the plastic of palm rest and keyboard surround as well as indicator strip are proving problematic to clean well. Not sure what cleaning products I can use.
I will probably take keyboard off and clean that as well as any other internal bits (i.e. heat sink grilles) when installing new gpu. Any other ideas which areas I should give some TLC to?

Thanks! Great guide but after 3 years of usage the palm rest in particular needs something stronger than a damp cloth!

I imagine its mostly grease, skin, dust etc so I need a very mild soap or detergent or citric acid?

Getting a bit obsessed with keeping my M15x spotless!

Safest bet would probably be soap, you wouldnt want something from the detergent or acid to eat through the plastic or make weird abrasive marks.

Agreed! Should this soap contain 1/3 moisturizer to get rid of those tired looking eyes?

I actually got it looking really good using heatsink compound removing solution (pretty sure its just pure ethanol).
