I'm planning to buy a new clevo gtx 460m but I want to make sure that sound works through DisplayPort. Has anybody been successful on this? If so, which drivers did you use? :eek2:

the question is, is the 460m from dell or clevo?
if you got the card with the system, it will work. but aftermarket mods from other dealers/suppliers don't always work 100%

(mine does not downclock and sound not working through hdmi, also pcie bw is at 1.1 rather than 2.0)

I have one of those cards. It's a Eurocomm card (same as Clevo from what I understand) that I got from a UK member here. The strange thing is that GPU-Z lists Dell as the vendor. It has stock Nvidia clocks though, not the underclocked Dell numbers, but I am using Dell Drivers from their site. I've used the Display Port to HDMI on 2 different TVs. One was a Samsung 40" LCD which worked perfectly (video and sound) without any extra settings. On a friend's Toshiba, I had to disconnect and reconnect the cable a couple of times before the TV was listed in the sound control panel. I then had to choose the TV as the default playback device and everything worked.

    Here's a screenshot of my GPU-Z:
