I did the hdd in optical drive caddy install and should post in that thread but I went through the thread and couldn't find anyone with this problem. The install went fine, the problem is the drive dosen't show up under " my computer". The drive is listed in device manager as working properly and shows up in HWiNFO64 and lists all the drives properties. I've uninstalled the drive and restarted, the drive reinstalls and says device is ready for use but still dosen't show in "my computer". So what do I have to do to make the drive acessable? Is there anything that needs to be changed in the BIOS or regestry? BTW the drive is WD750 scorpio black if that matters and I found a box that says to show hidden drives that I do have checked. Please help!

    Thanks

Go to Start>Run and enter diskmgmt.msc to launch the disk management utility. From there you can make the drive/primary partition active, assign a drive letter, etc.

Thanks Rev, the drive is working now but it's icon has a red x on it, don't know what thats all about.
Is there a way to have things sent to my documents, pics, music, ect. automatically sent to the hdd rather than the ssd(primary)drive?
