Hello. I finally received my Gtx 970m shipped from China which took a month. Finally!

unfortunately it didn't come with any x bracket. I removed the x bracket which came with my m6100 and placed it to my gtx 970m.

Will this work with my m15x?

I kept on searching for clevo mxm x brackets and it looks pretty similar to my m6100's x bracket now installed on my gtx 970m

That bracket is fine. The only difference between Dell and Clevo xbrackets is the Clevo brackets use narrower screws.

AMD cards and 10 series and later Nvidia cards use a bracket with a wider backside. Use of the narrower bracket will kill those cards.

I am also looking for a 970m. Can you share what seller you bought it from and your experience with him and the bracket?

    Thanks

Many thanks for this information. My only problem now is getting the right screws. Based on my research it should be m1.6x3.5L screws. Good thing I found a shop locally here in Japan that sells 10 pieces for about 6 usd. Including local l shipping. I shall be receiving it tomorrow

Hi i got mine through Taobao. It was about 125 usd. Excluding shipping. I haven't tested it yet. Once I receive the right screws (in approximately 24 hrs) for my heatsink, I will let you know if seller is legit.

Hi, Just wanted to update you that my card is working fine.

Bought my GTX 970m from this seller on Taobao:

    https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z09.2.0.0.67002e8dujsE7Z&id=45068930423&_u=k3u3uo5i7d08

I bought it for about 930 Yuan including local shipping to package forwarder warehouse which is about: 130 USD.

I had to arrange my own shipping from the package forwarder company via EMS to Japan and it cost me about 25 USD.

It doesn't come with an x-bracket, the one you need are the clevo flat ones so you will need to get one separately.

I've been reading in this forum about cards from China being of low quality and can easily breakdown if overclocked. I'm just curious whether I should overclock or stay on stock.
