Yesterday I experienced something weird. When playing LoL the sound would occasionally sound very metallic and robot-like for a few seconds every 10-15 min.
I thought it was just a bug in the game since I was playing a character with a robot-voice(blitzcrank).
Today I experienced this again but this time it was while playing music on youtube.
Also the screen will lagg while this occurs (but again its just a few sec).

It has happened while plugged in (no stealth) and while on battery.

Got any clues as how to fix this?

Crazy. You tried a power drain?
You could try to run the diagnostic tests for the audio board, when you get the crazy behaviour there as well it's hardware related.

It sounds like a latency issue.

Well, I assume you got a Ressource DVD, if you put it in your system and boot from the disc you can choose the diagnostic tests, choose custom test and then search for the audio stuff.

I had a video sound and picture stuttering problem a while back that started after I installed a Momentus XT hard disk. I looked on the Nvidia board, and someone there had reported it with some, but not all video drivers. I changed to a different set and it went away. You may want to check the ATI/AMD driver boards to see if they've seen anything like this.

    Good luck,

    Joe
