I can get any other dvd/cd to load, install, all the things its supposed to do just fine with no issues. I'm on my second disc of Rift because I returned the last one when the DVD drive cut rings into it and now it's doing it again, but only to Rift DVD's. Anyone heard of an issue like this?

To add to that I can't find anywhere to download the game that isn't going to charge me for it. I still have the disc that now has rings in it w/key.

You mean the drive is scratching the disc in a circular pattern? Do you have any pics of the disc for us?

Turns out the CD/DVD drive has gone bad. Can I order another online or do I have to get a specific one from Dell?

Just call and they'll send a tech to replace it. Simple as that, as long as it's still under warranty.

Sorry, but maybe you should consider buying an external USB DVD drive.

Terrible bad solution, but a solution.

you can just buy a drive off ebay and install it yourself. you can even get a blu-ray drive for like $70.

As far as I know, the warranty (atleast the one that came with my AW bought in norway) covers you anywhere in the world, as long as they have a dell certified technician/store in that area.

I would be surprised if no one in korea was certified to repair an alienware?

    Correct me if I'm wrong.
