Can anyone confirm that runs directx 12 with a GTX970M and Windows 10?

Yes both 970m and win 10 are dx12 compatible. What can't be confirmed is an abundance of dx12 titles with which to run it.

I would say give it 6 months. Win 10 will run better by then, new gpus out by then and dx12 games will be getting more numerous

Cough! AMD still seem to have the advantage in the asynchronous shader debacle. Nvidia can only implement it at a software level.
Could mean good things for older AMD cards like mine.

Thanks, I'm hoping to have a decent graphics card.
The bad news is that I've read that DirectX 12 increases performance depending on the cpu. That does not benefit us much.

Quite the opposite. We stand a lot to gain by CPU using more overhead across more cores, not faster clock speeds. Perfectly suited to our older first gen core CPUs.
