    Hello,

I was hoping to have 2 external monitors set up with my m15x (no internal), one with the VGA out and one with DP out.

Whats currently happening is only one will work at a time.

When booting up, the one connected through DP will work, but if its not connected the VGA one will work.

Once i am loaded up into windows, i can unplug the DP monitor BUT catalyst will still list it as being there but it will be the VGA one working.

    I am using a 6970m.

EDIT: When i unplug the DP monitor when both are plugged in, the VGA one is lsited as a generic non-PnP, but if i plug the DP back in, the VGA one will still be the only one working but it will be listed as the monitor i use with DP.

What brand is your 6970m? I've had no issues with the Dell version.

I know people fixed the audio over DP problem by flashing to the Dell vBIOS. There's a slight risk there, but that could fix it.

since my cards subvendor is the same as the one thats used in the tutorial, im going to go ahead and give it a try.

EDIT: So i just finished flashing my vbios following the audio through DP and it works great now!

Time to lower these darn idle clocks now.

Use Ati Tray Tools to control your clocks. 250/150 works fine for two screens.

i would use ATT but i cant stand having to control the clocks manually when loading up games and such, unless theres a way to auto control it.

EDIT: Nevermind i figured it out, stupid me.

The dual monitor setting of 250/900 isn't listed in the vBIOS, it's driver forced, so you can't edit it that way. ATT is the only choice.

Yea, i just realized theres a "auto overclock" option for 3d/2d applications, now it works flawlessly.
