    Duracoating my Alienware M15x

    Process was relatively easy! My father and I got it done last weekend. We are not professional artists and the design isn't perfect, but I am very happy with the results. :D

    Alienware M15x Duracoat - Imgur

    Duracoat is not a paint, but more of a thick protective coating that is actually used on firearms. DuraCoat Firearm Finishes (hope its okay to link this)

    We went with the Urban Mirageflage design and picked up the paints+templates kit. The instructional DVD was absolute garbage, but fortunately my dad had already had some experience duracoating several of his rifles. Now that the project is done, I am told to just be extra careful with it for at least 3 weeks until the coating has cured. Then it should be very scratch resistant.
