Hmm, is this happening exclusively with Eurocom cards??

None of the 6970 users here seem to have encountered any issues to my
knowledge, although I haven't been visiting as regularly as I should (considering
how much NBR has helped me out!!).

This isn't necessarily a thread regarding the faults of Eurocom cards, but more about the support should the worst happen.

It's acceptable that once in a while a card will fail, that's what the warranty is for, but where one supplier sets themselves apart from the rest is support and customer service.

Was considering getting a Eurocom upgrade for my M15x, but now having second thoughts.........

    Update:

Support has got in touch with me and they are going to warranty the card after all.

    /thread.

Hi Mike, was this the card you had to drill or re solder? (from the mammoth 6970 thread) I notice they now have ones available without the solder posts.

    Hi ninefingers,

Yeah, mine came with the soldered in mounts. I think they have always had the cards without the soldered in mounts, they have a few different cards depending on the eurocom notebook it was intended for.

I was one of the first to purchase one of these cards (along with Xeroxide and Mr Valle). At the time it wasn't clear from the pictures that the mounts were soldered in.

I see the price has dropped but the shipping is very expensive (although was very prompt in my case) I think if I was going to buy again I would get the dell card though.
