    Hello everyone,

For about a year now, my M15x spontaneously boots up with no sound. When this happens, everything is fine until an application tries to access the sound card, and then the application will hang. This includes Windows Explorer and the sound applet. When this happens, Windows shows the sound card as "working properly.". Usually when this happens a reboot resolves it. About once every 2 or 3 times this happens, it takes a few reboots to get the sound to work.

When it is working, everything seems to work fine. This leads me to believe it is not a hardware issue.

This is quite frustrating as it is completely random, and I have not figured out how manually reproduce it. I know ( from previous experience with Dell) that if I call tech- support, once they solve it with a reboot, case will be closed. Any suggestions?
