I've read the entire SetFSB thread, cracked a version of SetFSB (not ashamed to say it, it's been an abandonware for at least 7 years, for anyone interested there are online code generators for the software to work to bypass the obnoxious hardware ID check), but I seem to have one of those un-setFSB-able mobos. With unlocked A09, 940XM, Win10 and so on, I am unable to increase the clocks, and I was unable to exceed my CPU above 29/28/27/26 or 27/27/27/27 with multiple TDP/TDC configs. I believe I've checked all the mobo options in SetFSB version 2.3.178.134 and have abandoned almost all hope, but wanted to ask the final question - is there a way to set it any higher, with another software, or with a certain config? Can I exceed 133MHz?

You do understand that there is no front side bus on the M15x, right? Starting with nehalam and onwards, fsb was deleted and replaced with qpi (quick path interface). Which you cannot overclock, only raise multipliers on the xm class CPU. Only M17x R2 has some weird implementTion that allowed to raise cpu by 5% tops (similar to BCLK overclock).

Ok. This I didn't realize. Thanks for clearing that issue. The next one is, is it possible to increase base multipliers? Both Throttlestop and Intel XTU have very trimmed options

@Raidriar, sorry to spam this in an old thread, but could you possibly pm me? I can't contact you directly, and I've got a project I would like to discuss. Thanks in advance!

I do not accept PMs because I got tired of people spamming my inbox for tech help. Make a thread in the Alienware subforum for whatever it is you wish to accomplish.

Bah, it's been a year now, I can only recall that the keygen was online on a site, not a downloadable one. I'll try to find it, but can't guarantee results

    Edit:
    Found a script for unlocking

Sweet, thanks! Quick question tho, how do you use the script? I see it needs to be used as an html but I'm not sure how to go about doing that.

Try pasting it into .txt file, then save it and rename as HTML, I haven't used it in ages, but this should work, hopefully ;)

Got it figured out thanks! Now my old Asus G60vx will actually run emulators a tiny bit better.
